Abstract

 This study aimed at investigating the main characteristics of media discourse which focuses on economic issues in Algeria. Also, it explored the most prominent theses, the acting and the reference frames on which it's based. Furthermore, it identifed aspects of similarities and differences between the discourse of both newspapers chosen as a case studyThese issues draw intentions of various Arabic speaking newspapers in economic and media context in their private and public aspects. To achieve this goal the student explored and analyzed Algerian media discourse which focuses on economic issues in Algeria, The data was collected between November 2014 until 31 December 2015, we employed discourse analysis tools using mechanism of demonstration, actors and references frames. The results revealed that there were negative aspects of economic crisis in the daily shrouk newspaper and the negative role played by both Algerian officials and political parties. The speech producers criticized the policy adopted in Algeria which we consider the reason behind crisis in Algeria. It reflects the general trend, the perception, vision and and the conscious will which the producers of the speech were able to inject the spirit of criticism in economic awareness. Contrary on what the discourse of in Al-Shab newspaper revealed, it encouraged the idea of economic investment with a high level of treatment also it reflected the positive role played by both Algerian officials and media editors. This os due to editorials policy of both newspapers. Regarding the economic reference it was at the main priority in both newspapers.
