Abstract:

 This study aims to determining the impact of the financial structure on the performance of commercial banks in Algeria, the importance of the study stems from the primary goal sought by commercial banks wich is to maximize profitability and raise its financial performance and the importance of financial decisions concerning the selection of combination of Financial structure. to achieve the objectives of the study , the multiple regression method has been used to test hypotheses using time series analysis of panal data in accordance with the statistical programme Eviews9 on a range of public and private banks in Algeria for the period 2006-2015. The results of this study found an effect of financial structure on financial performance in commercial banks under consideration : in the public bankswe have reached that the financial structure as measured by total debt to total assets has a significant effect on the financial performance measured by the profitability ratios and the financial performance measured by the ratio of measuring banking risks , and financial structure as measured by total property to total assets has a significant effect on the financial performance measured by the profitability ratios and the financial performance measured by the ratio of measuring banking risks . Either in private banks, financial structure measured by total debt to total assets has no significant effect on the financial performance measured by the profitability ratios and has a significant effect on the financial performance measured by the ratios of measuring banking risks , and financial structure as measured by of total property to total assets has a significant effect on the financial performance measured by the profitability ratios and the financial performance measured by the the ratios of measuring banking risks .
